Let’s remember, in April Greece allowed more countries to enter without having to follow quarantine restrictions and while preparing for the summer season, Greece is also speeding up vaccinations for workers in the tourism and some other industries.
On May the 15th Greece started a new summer season and opened its borders for tourists. And today, the roads of Sithonia are not empty anymore. These days you can see many cars with Romanian, Bulgarian, North Macedonian, Serbian, etc. plates. It’s still just a few compared to the same period in 2019, but it looks promising and we hope it is just an introduction to an amazing summer. You can hear that if you ask the locals. They are happy and ready for their first guests after a long break.
What you’ll need fot entering Greece this summer?
For entering Greece this summer you’ll need to have a vaccination certificate, a negative PCR test, or proof of antibodies not older than nine months. Besides that, you need to fill out the form you can find on the website:
If you have the required document, you can enter Greece and enjoy your summer. Greece has relaxed many measures, and the information about it will be provided to you at the borders and by local business owners. In this text, we will not focus on all the restrictions, because we believe they will be relaxed further during the summer.
On the Sithonia beaches, there are just a few tourists for now, but you can see smiles on their faces, and we are witnessing more and more new arrivals daily. That is promising for a good season and a summer full of joy and relaxation for all of us. Because we all deserve it!
