Toroni village in Sithonia – the choice of families with children!
In Toroni you can find:
🏝 A wide 3 km long beach with big white sand on the Aegean coast. Cus of it you’ll never see huge amounts of people on it, even in August!
But be careful! Depth starts quickly, so children need to be monitored.
🥙 Taverns, pizzerias, local fast food – gyros, souvlaki. You will definitely not stay hungry!
If you want to cook yourself – no problem!
▫️In Toroni, there are two supermarkets with low prices, where you can find everything from groceries to household items.
▫️Butcher’s, where there is always fresh meat: chicken, pork, beef. If necessary, they will cut everything up or make minced meat for you.
▫️And in the neighboring village of Porto Koufo, a fishing village, you will find fresh fish and seafood at low prices.
🎠 For children – a small amusement park with attractions, toys, and clothing shops nearby.
There is an equipped playground in the center, next to the Leon tavern.
🍯 In Toroni you can buy delicious and high-quality honey of your own production! This is a great idea for a souvenir from Greece.
🏞 Interesting hiking trail “to the guns” with a secret beach. The route runs in the mountains between Toroni and Porto Koufo. On the way, you can see the ruins of fortifications that were built here by the Germans during the Second World War. It offers incredible views of Toroni. At the end of the route, you can see the bay. The entire route will take 3-4 hours.
