An intercultural musical journey into the heart of summer.
For the second year, the Afro Tropical Weekend explores the paths of the contemporary world scene and various forms of traditional music from the Dark Continent, Brazil, and exotic Caribbean islands.
From Friday 10th to Sunday, July 12th the Maori will be full of tropical sounds, in a three-day event inspired by afro, funk, and Latino rhythms of Africa and Latin America.
The participants are the band of African-Brazilian percussion Paranaue, Adamantios Kafetzis, owner and mastermind of the Greek-Senegalese label Teranga Beat, and the Samy Ben Redjeb of Analog Africa records, visiting us from Germany a few days after the release of the compilation “Amara Tourรฉ 1973-1980 “.
Also, Florent Mazzoleni of France Culture, Manos Tzanakakis (Globalista) of 93.4 fm The Red and the DJs Pale Penguin (Discoteca Internacional), Deej.Morph, Larry SKG, 45Dopรฉ, Tania, R-SR (Kocmoc Collective) , Siraistak and Summer Mimis.
