Hotel Rema – Vourvourou

Getting to the hotel is not difficult. When you turn left on the Sithonia main road to Vourvourou, after a 2km drive through the village, you will see the hotel on the right. It has more than enough parking space in the front and behind the hotel. The building blends nicely into Vourvourou’s surroundings with a lot of palm trees, pomegranates, and other Mediterranean flora. 

Although one might consider it a small two-storey hotel with 42 rooms, this hotel has facilities you can find in a  luxury hotel, thanks to the owners, who try to surprise their guests with some new features every season.

Hotel Rema has a beautiful, large lobby at the entrance, where you will be greeted by friendly staff and this pleasant first impression will stick with you throughout your stay at this hotel. The dining area is neat and clean, and breakfast on the terraces by the large seawater pool will be the perfect start to every day of your holiday.

The hotel is well insulated and quiet and has an outdoor gym and a bar by the pool. The pool itself is one of the trademarks of Rema hotel. It is located in the font, nicely blending the hotel building with the sea just a few steps away. It perfectly embodies the atmosphere of the hotel. If one (or every) afternoon you decide to relax by the pool, you will be surprised by pleasant bartenders, who will very often even play music by your choice, but in a pleasant and chill atmosphere, of course, while you enjoy your snack and sip a cold drink in the palm tree shade. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Due to the peace and quiet this hotel offers, as well as the quality of service, it attracts families with children. So at the peak of the season, be prepared for the youngest who will sometimes run around the hall, or play around.

The hotel has free wifi (which is not too reliable if you’re not close to the lobby), and has its own organic garden, where you can spend time if you’re a plant lover.

It does not have private access to its own beach although it is 20m away from the sea and small beach. So it can be a great base and starting point for exploring Sithonia.

Families with children are common visitors because at around 2km from the hotel there is one of the most famous beaches in Greece – Karydi Beach,  known for its very long shoal and turquoise blue water, perfect for swimming and splashing even of the youngest guests.
