Nea Playa, August 13, 2023 – A sudden and fierce tornado tore through Nea Playa (Nea Plagia – Νέα Πλάγια), resulting in four individuals sustaining injuries, including a 19-year-old. The swift and unexpected storm wreaked havoc within minutes, causing significant damage to the infrastructure of a popular beach bar.
The tempestuous event unfolded shortly before 11 am, catching the community off-guard with its intensity.
