On December 1st, 2024, Sithonia experienced the powerful impact of the ‘Bora Storm‘, bringing intense weather conditions to the region. The storm resulted in significant winds, with gusts reaching up to 44 mph, and heavy rainfall throughout the day. This combination caused disruptions, particularly in coastal areas, with limited visibility and conditions feeling much colder than the actual temperature. The ongoing storm has made traveling across Sithonia difficult, particularly near the shores, as the strong winds have intensified the sea’s turbulence.
