On September 6, 2024, the Chamber of Halkidiki hosted the prestigious 2024 Business Awards ceremony at a well-known hotel in Nea Potidaia. The event celebrated the achievements of 10 standout businesses from the region, recognized not only for their financial performance but for their commitment to sustainable development, support for the local supply chain, and use of innovative technologies.
The awarded businesses include:

- Marina Fish
- Marigoula
- Cavo Delea Suits
- Viraggas
- Tserkezidis Recycle
- Karlas Art World
- Tirovouzis
- Meloida
Key factors in the evaluation of these businesses included innovation, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. The awards ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries and officials, including Elena Soku from the Prime Minister’s Office, Halkidiki MPs Ioannis Giorgos and Apostolos Pappas, and representatives from the local government.
George Emmanouil, Mayor of Polygyros, expressed pride that four of the awarded businesses operate in his municipality. He emphasized the importance of supporting such efforts to promote development and prosperity in the region.
The event also highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to fostering female entrepreneurship. Later that evening, a special event titled “Women in the Public Sphere: Social, Business Inequalities and Opportunities” was held at the Chamber’s conference center in Polygyros. Featuring keynote speaker Sofia Voultepsi, Deputy Minister of Migration and Asylum, the event honored members of the National Network of Greek Women Entrepreneurs. Admission was free to the public.
