The Municipality of Sithonia has officially released the full Christmas 2025 program for the mountain village of Parthenonas, confirming one of the most atmospheric winter events in Halkidiki. For five consecutive days, from 24 to 28 December 2025, the historic stone-built village will host a diverse lineup of cultural activities, concerts, workshops, family-friendly entertainment, and traditional festive experiences.
Located on the slopes of Mount Itamos, overlooking the Toroneos Gulf, Parthenonas transforms each December into a warm and welcoming Christmas village. The 2025 edition introduces an expanded schedule designed to attract both local visitors and international travelers seeking an authentic winter celebration in northern Greece.
A Five-Day Cultural and Festive Program
Day 1 โ December 24 (Christmas Eve): Official Opening
The Christmas Village opens at 14:00, with the main ceremony starting at 17:30.
The opening includes:
- Christmas melodies by the Philharmonic
- Traditional carols by local cultural associations
- Official greetings and the annual tree-lighting ceremony
- Evening entertainment featuring the well-known Tsepebrothers
This marks the formal start of the Christmas season in Parthenonas.
Day 2 โ December 25 (Christmas Day)
Christmas Day activities begin at 16:00 with an engaging Treasure Hunt, followed by a festive Torchlight Parade at 18:00.
At 18:45, the popular band EKMEK takes the stage, bringing a lively concert atmosphere to the village square.
Day 3 โ December 26
The Christmas Village welcomes visitors from 14:00.
The dayโs program includes:
- 15:30 โ Marathon event
- 16:00 โ Storytelling session
- 17:30 โ Comedy and acrobatics show with juggling acts

- 16:00 โ Live set by Orchestra Krinis
- 16:30 โ Performance of traditional dances
- 17:30 โ Orchestra Krinis returns for a second musical segment
- 19:30 โ DJ set by DJ The Rook, featuring popular hits and well-known collaborations
Day 5 โ December 28 (Finale)
The final day begins at 14:00 and concludes with major festive highlights:
- 15:00 โ Hot-air balloon experience (second day)
- 18:00 โ Grand raffle, offering a brand-new scooter as the top prize
- 19:00 โ Live performance by Nikos Zoรฏdakis, returning by popular demand for an evening of Cretan lyra, song, and winter celebration
