Homemade octopus

Perfectly cooked octopus is a favorite dish of the Greeks in traditional taverns, however, you can cook octopus at home just as well as professional chefs.

- 1 fresh octopus
- 200 ml grape vinegar
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- Peppercorns
- bay leaves
Wash and clean the octopus. Place it in a deep saucepan and add vinegar and wine. Cook for 40 minutes - 1 hour until soft (check with a fork) over low heat. Make sure that there is always liquid during cooking.
Add peppercorns and bay leaves.
After it is cooked, drain the liquid and let it cool.
Cut and pour on top with olive oil and vinegar.
Octopus meat contains a large amount of protein, useful elements (magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, copper, selenium and manganese), vitamins of group B, A, C, E, K, PP, as well as omega-3 and phosphoric acid. It is rich in octopus meat and zinc, which inhibits the aging process of the skin.
